What is Opti-Height?

Opti-Height is exclusive technology developed by Befour that uses state-of-the-art optic measurement to capture patient height quickly and effectively. Opti-Height became integrated into the entire family of measurement stations, including: column scales, handrail scales, bariatric scales, and exam-room scales. Opti-Height replaces traditional manual stadiometers and older digital options with more advanced technology.

Instead of relying on manual adjustments, Opti-Height features an ergonomic optical measurement slide and headpiece that glides smoothly along the column providing an immediate height reading once the headpiece rests at the desired level. This headpiece features “smart position” technology which holds itself securely where last positioned, often, above the patient’s head, and ready for the next measurement.

With Opti-Height, users complete the entire measurement in a simple 2-step process:

1. Raise/lower the measurement slide to desired position
2. Press the HEIGHT button

Once captured, all metrics including weight, height, and BMI are automatically calculated and displayed on a single screen, streamlining the data acquisition process for both the practitioner and patient.
